IBC 2010 kicks off on Thursday (September 9), with the start of the IBC Conference at RAI Amsterdam. The IBC Exhibition, where more than 1300 suppliers will have products and services on show, begins on Friday.
This year’s show sees a number of innovations, with the merging of the IP TV, mobile and digital signage sections of the show into a new section called Connected World.
Also new this year is a 3D day, when an entire day of the IBC Conference (September 13) will be devoted to the hot subject of stereoscopic 3D.
Returning after a successful debut last year is the Production Village, where end users can try out the latest broadcast camera technology.
Other highlights include the IBC Conference’s sports day on September 11; the Future Media Concepts training workshops on September 11 and 12; the New Technology Campus and the IBC Conference’s content restoration workshops on September 12.
“Commercial, creative and technical success depends on being on the leading edge of developments, and where better to invest in knowledge than IBC,” said Michael Crimp, CEO, IBC.
