KIT Digital will relocate its Dubai-based global headquarters to Prague before the end of the month, amid a company shake-up which includes the promotion of several key executives to senior management positions.
In a statement detailing the reasons behind the move, the company claimed Europe accounted for more than 50 percent of its annual revenues, while its existing Prague office was already responsible for various technical operations.
“Central Europe also affords a more practical location and timezone for expanding [our] global business, particularly in the western hemisphere – where IPTV systems and 3G/4G mobile networks are expanding rapidly,” it read.
The company's Dubai office will continue to operate as a regional sales centre covering the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. While being based in Prague, KIT digital chairman and CEO Kaleil Isaza Tuzman will “continue to spend significant time in Dubai on business and corporate development activities”, the statement added.
Neither Tuzman nor KIT Digital’s president, Gavin Campion, were available for comment at the time of press.
Meanwhile, a management reshuffle has seen board member and company veteran Robin Smyth reappointed chief financial officer, after a short hiatus from the position.
In other developments, Andy Steward has been named chief technology officer, Barak Bar-Cohen executive vice president of global business development, Tomas Petru head of the company's EMEA operations, and Daniel Goodfellow vice president of marketing and communications.
