European staging company Stageco has partnered with Even2 in order to provide its Boogdak range of steel-roofed temporary stages to customers in the Middle East.
The Boogdak extra large arch-shaped stage system is marketed as a cost-effective all weather stage, for potential use at outdoor gigs and festivals and for indoor applications.
The system includes a 1000 sqm Layher all-round floor construction along with a number of spot and delay towers and FOH sets.
As part of the agreement, Even2 staff have been flown to Germany to undertake assembly training on the assembly of the product, while the stage system’s components are being transported to the UAE from Germany.
“Although there is a downturn in the economy, [there’s] a demand for these big steel roofs in the Middle East,” commented René Karnahl, managing director of Even2.
“Looking at the worldwide staging business one will quickly realise that most international artists are touring with, and relying on Stageco material.,” he added.

Even2 plans to deploy the stage throughout the MENA region from its Ajman, UAE headquarters.
Managing director of Stageco Germany, Werner Herbst, said the deal signified the company’s first foray in the Middle East staging market.
“We have been monitoring the Middle East market over several years, and although we have offices all over the world, the region was a blank spot for us until now,” he said.
“We have had several enquiries [in the past], but new potential clients often couldn’t afford the high transportation costs.”
Herbst also commented that both companies involved in the deal would prioritise event safety in the management of the structure.
“We will definitely be providing Stageco quality, adherence to schedules and highest European safety standards in the Middle East.”
